Rental Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before renting a trailer from Load It Trailers. By accepting delivery of a trailer, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Renter Responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping the trailer in good repair during the rental period at your own cost and expense. You are responsible for all damage to, or loss or theft of, the trailer — including damage caused by weather, road conditions, and acts of nature — whether or not you are at fault.
You are responsible for:
- Cost of repair or actual retail cash value if the trailer is deemed unrepairable
- Loss of use and diminished value during any repair period
- Missing equipment or parts
- A reasonable administrative charge connected with any damage claim
You shall inform us upon demand of the exact location of the trailer at any time while it is in your possession. Trailers are not to be taken outside of the United States.
Rental Charges & Extensions
A rental day is 24 hours. Trailers are charged for time out, not time used.
- Overtime is charged at one-sixth the daily rate per overtime hour
- Rental extensions are allowed without fees if requested before the end of the rental period
- If the trailer is not returned on time, rental charges continue on a full-term basis until it is returned
- No allowance will be made for any trailer claimed not to have been used
Deposits & Payment
A deposit is required for all rentals unless credit has been established in advance. Deposits must be paid with an approved credit or debit card.
Required Documentation
To rent a trailer, you must provide:
- Valid driver’s license
- Year, make, and license plate number of your tow vehicle
- Proof of insurance
Authorized agents renting on your behalf must be 25 years of age or older per our insurance requirements.
Hitch Requirements
An adequate hitch is required. For tandem axle trailers and all trailers over 3,500 lb. GVWR, a minimum Class 3 receiver-type hitch is required. A single-piece, solid, machined ball with the proper shank diameter must be used — bushings to increase shank size should not be used.
We reserve the right to decline the use of any tow vehicle we feel is not appropriate.
Tires & Road Damage
Before operating the trailer, inspect the jobsite for debris or terrain that could cause tire damage, and be aware of road hazards. All tire repairs during the rental period are the responsibility of the customer. In the event of a flat tire, you may call a tire repair company of your choice, or we can arrange one on your behalf at your expense.
Please inspect tires prior to rental and confirm they are in good operating condition.
Reporting Problems
If the trailer is not operating correctly, contact us immediately. Do not continue operating a malfunctioning trailer. Failing to report a problem until return may result in you being held responsible for the full cost of repairs or replacement.
All accidents involving the trailer must be reported to us and the police within 4 hours of occurrence or discovery.
Care & Cleaning
Normal wear and tear is included in the rental rate. Damage from misuse or improper care will be charged accordingly. All trailers must be returned clean — additional cleaning charges will apply if not.
Default & Repossession
If you are in default of any terms of this agreement, we reserve the right to enter your premises and recover the trailer at your risk, cost, and expense. We may also terminate this agreement immediately upon failure to make rental payments when due.
You shall not pledge or encumber the rented trailer in any way.
Legal & Fees
You agree to pay all reasonable attorney fees, expenses, and costs incurred by Load It Trailers in protecting its rights under this agreement or in collecting any amounts owed.
Load It Trailers makes no warranty regarding the rented trailer beyond replacing it with an identical or similar trailer if it fails to operate per manufacturer specifications. You indemnify and hold Load It Trailers harmless for all injuries or damages, including consequential and special damages, for any claimed breach of warranty.
